Whassup Ya'all
Well, first off let me introduce myself. My name is geno duran, brother of the famous web designer, Gabriel Anthony Duran, also known as just "Gabe". Gabe started this website a few months ago as a school project and needed some content, so he called up "big bro" to help him out. As a Pulitzer Prize Winning Writer, I usually charge a hefty fee (yeah right, i wish), but since Gabe is family I agreed to do it for free. For now at least, until Gabe's making the big bucks. As of right now, I plan to do a weekly column here at the website, probably updated every Tuesday, so hopefully you'll tune in every week and read what I gotta say.
But before I go any further, let me talk a little about what we hope this website becomes. Put Him First.com represents keeping God first in our live and in everything we do. I believe that the internet can be a great tool for telling about God's love, but it can also be an evil tool. We are praying that this site becomes a light in the midst of all the darkness on the web, and also that it's a place where Christians can be reminded to keep Christ first in thier lives.
I hope to hit on a variety of topics that can enrich our Christian lives, but also to keep this website a fun place to visit. So, don't be surprised if I mix it up a bit. People know me as someone who tends to go in random directions sometimes, but usually I have a purpose behind it all (at least I pretend I do).
I hope to get to know you as I let you in on my thoughts over the next couple of months, and hopefully longer, as we pray this website is a start of building a strong Christian community. Feel free to email me, geno@puthimfirst.com, post a comment, tell me you liked something I talked about or disagreed about something I said. I'm open to criticism. Sometimes I need to be told to "shut up" too. Gabe's gonna have to give me a word limit or I'll end up going on and on and onand on. A lot of you have got some of my emails, so you know what I'm talking about.
So in closing for this week, let's continue to keep Christ first in all we do and send Gabe some love for making this website possible.
