Expecting

Hey everybody! Hope things are going great with you. I wanted to let you all know, we will not be having “geno’s column” next week due to the fact that I’m going to be in California and I will probably not have internet access. But we will resume the following week with great new columns inspired by World Conference!!!!

Saturday morning I’m flying to Albuquerque to meet my new niece, Trinity Janae Duran, for the first time. I am so excited to see her. I’ve seen the pictures and heard my brother Dre and Siobhan talk about her. My parents, new grandparents, are crazy about her. And me, being an uncle, well, I can’t wait to see that lil’ bundle of joy. Poor little Trinity doesn’t even know what she’s getting into. Our family can get a lil’ crazy, and I’m sure my niece is going to be spoiled rotten.

I was talking to my sister-in-law, Siobhan, a few days before she gave birth and she was telling me, “It seems like the baby’s never coming out. I’m going to be pregnant forever.” Of course, the baby was bound to come out sooner or later. She was “Expecting”.

I think it’s good to have expectations. I think it gives us something to look forward to. It gives us hope. Of course, I’m talking about good expectations and Godly expectations. I’ve been getting ready to go to World Conference in Long Beach for my church, Victory Outreach. This will be the fourth one I’ve been to. We’ve been watching some of the old conference videos in church the last few weeks and I started remembering how God moved so powerful. I’ve been growing more and more excited about the conference. I know God is going to move again.

I’m “Expecting.” I’m expecting God to do something great in my life. I’m expecting to hear from Him when I go to conference. I’m expecting Him to revive me and give me direction. I’m expecting a breakthrough. I’m expecting a miracle!

I went to school at Oral Roberts University and the slogan there was “Expect A Miracle.” It all boils down to faith. I look at people in the Bible that knew if they could just get Jesus’ attention, their lives would be changed. If they could just get one touch from Him, they would be made whole. The woman with the issue of blood pressed through the crowd despite her condition. The blind man cried out until Jesus heard him and came and healed him.

Jesus already knew their situation, but He wanted to see how “Desperate” they were. He wanted to see how willing they were and how much faith they had. I believe that God moves in people’s lives that put their trust and faith and hope in Him. God moves on the behalf of those that come willing to receive with an open heart.

God is about to do something great in your life. He’s right on the verge of giving you that miracle you’ve been waiting for and praying for and longing for. Don’t lose faith. Keep holding on. Keep “Expecting” because He is more than able. That loved one you’ve been praying for is going to get saved. The healing you need in your body is going to happen. That financial breakthrough that you desperately need is already on its way.

I pray that you all have a great week, and for those going to World Conference, I hope to see you there. Hit me up with an email or something to let me know if you’re going. Remember to always “Put Him First” and I’ll see you in a couple of weeks. God Bless.

w/muchluv,
