WITHOUT LIMITS

It’s good to be back home. For those that don’t know, I just got back from the Victory Outreach International World Conference in Long Beach, California. WOW!!!! That’s all I can say. I cannot even begin to put into words all that I received over there (but you know I’ll try). As much as I loved conference, I’m glad it’s over. It tends to wear you out by the end of the week, in a good way though. Plus, spending a week with my sister also can wear you out (jk Celina).

I was going over my notes that I took at the conference and God started reminding me of all that He spoke to me. I don’t have the best memory in the world, so I always take a lot of notes so I can go back and read them later. God was showing me a lot about my own life, different areas that I need to work on and things I need to do in my walk with Him. I think the thing that I got most out of conference was that I need to draw closer to Him for He is my source, and this may come as a surprise to you, that I need to “Put Him First” in all I do.

Pastor Sonny Arguinzoni, or should I say Dr. Sonny Arguinzoni, our Founder of Victory Outreach, spoke on Putting God First. I’m thinking He must have got on the website before preaching that night. It was just encouraging because I believe it showed me that this website is on the right track and in line with my church. That’s important because I never want to stray from what God has called me to do.

The conference theme was “Inheriting the Nations.” PHF has been around now for about a year and 5 months. God has used us to reach out to you in that span of time, but God was also showing me that this is only the beginning. One thing I love about conference is seeing a stadium full of ex-drug addicts, ex-convicts, ex-prostitutes, ex-criminals, etc. etc. I had to sit way at the top a couple services and I found myself in awe looking out at the miracle God had done in reaching these “Treasures out of Darkness”.

I was standing at the top and looking at all the people in the stadium and I heard God saying to me to remember all the people there. He said that this was only a small amount of people that would be reached by PHF in the future. Now, take this into perspective, there had to be around 10,000 people at the conference. We have about 100 or so users at our site. So that’s a lot of people, but God was saying that there is going to be more. Let me say something first, it’s never been about numbers at this site. If there were only 5 people at this site, I would still write because I believe that this is what God has called me to do. In retrospect though, I believe in a BIG GOD, a GREAT GOD. I believe He’s called me to write for millions, not for my own glory but all for His.

I believe that you have to dream BIG to accomplish BIG things. At work the other night I was looking over an ad about a restaurant that doesn’t have a menu. They advertise that “if you can imagine it, we can make it.” They say that even if they have to send someone out to buy a product they don’t have, they will do everything possible to create the exact meal that you want. I’d never heard of a restaurant like that, but it got me to thinking. It’s a restaurant without limits.

Do you know that we serve a God without limits? He’s the God of the impossible. Anything you can think of He can do. So many times though, we put God in a box. We put limitations on what He can do. We say to ourselves, “God can use me to reach maybe one person, but He could never use me to speak to thousands.”

I know I have to check myself sometimes. When I find myself limiting God, I know that I am in the wrong. Why can’t He heal me completely? Why can’t He provide for this or that? Why can’t He deliver my family? Why can’t He use my music, my writing to reach the world for Him?

I believe God is telling us this week, “If you can imagine it, I CAN DO IT.” It all comes down to a matter of faith. What has God promised you? Have you forgotten those things that He laid in your heart? Now is the time for those promises to come to pass. Don’t let doubts and worries get in the way of the fulfillment of those promises that God is going to give you. Remember that He is a God WITHOUT LIMITS.

w/muchluv,
