Celina Sanchez is the Bible Study Leader for the PHF Bible Study held every other Tuesday at PHF Studios. She is also the wife of PHF Productions recording artist, CRS.

PHF: Tell us about the PHF Bible Study and how it got started.

Celina: Well actually I have been doing Bible studies for a very long time. I started off as a Bible study leader for my church, but after getting married, I went through a transition and we stopped for awhile due to other commitments. Then my brother, Geno, challenged me to open up the Bible study again as a PHF Bible Study. We started it up and it’s been going ever since!!!

PHF: What’s it like overseeing the spiritual growth of a group of people?

Celina:: “Overseeing” is such an interesting word. Our Bible Study is filled with many beautiful people who are serving the Lord in so many ways. I feel like we all learn something different from each other. In fact, I have been so excited to see other people stepping up to the challenge to share what God is speaking to them with the whole group. Overseeing a group like this is awesome because we all have a passion for Christ and reaching out to a dying world. I think everyone in the group takes the responsibility of discipling others within the group. That’s what makes it so great and refreshing.

PHF: Your husband, CRS, is an artist on PHF Productions. What do you feel is your responsibility as an artist’s wife?

Celina:A lot of times the wives of the artist feel left out. I know when CRS and I first got married; I didn’t quite understand my role or responsibility as a wife of an artist. However, I am beginning to see my role more and more. I feel it is important for artists’ wives to be supportive in every way possible including prayer covering, going out to the concerts whenever possible to support like that, helping out wherever needed (even if that means at the product table that’s not inside the performance area), etc. And the biggest thing is compromise….we have tons of people over for various reasons, whether it’s ministry, relationship building, or to work on music. That presents a challenge to me as a wife to balance ministry and family time and be supportive.

PHF: Who is your favorite character in the Bible (besides Jesus) and why?

Celina: Wow, that’s a hard one. I have so many favorites. One of my favorite characters is Ruth because she was so brave. Could you imagine leaving everything you know not knowing what was going to happen? She really had no idea that God was going to bless her like He did, but she still decided to follow Him. She had to step out of her own comfort zone in order to see God move in her life. Not only does she show us courage, she shows us God’s faithfulness as well. God will never leave His children without!!!

PHF: You have a one year old son named Christopher that is a human energy ball. Any plans for more kids soon?

Celina: Haha, of course!!! I love my son so very much and can’t wait to have another baby soon, maybe in a year or two. Now if you ask my husband, he might have a different answer……

PHF: Favorite Restaurant? Favorite Store? And Favorite Artist/Band?

Celina: Mia Bella Trattoria Italian Restaurant (love that place), toss up between Macys and Sephora for favorite store, and my favorite artist is my husband CRS!!!!

(Somehow, we feel she chose the easy way out on the favorite artist question, ha.)

PHF: I heard you are a collector of coins. Tell us about your most recent accomplishment.

Celina: Well, with the help of my husband, brothers, sister-in-laws, dad, mom, friends, etc…., I was able to finish my collection of the 50 states coins from both U.S. mints!!!!

PHF: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? And why?

Celina: Wow, I don’t know that I’m such an adventurous traveler, but I would love to visit Israel just so I could walk where Jesus walked. That would be so amazing!!!

PHF: Where do you see the PHF Bible Study headed in the next year?

Celina: The PHF Bible Study is on the move. I believe that more and more people will come and receive what God has for them. I also hope that more and more people who attend are willing to share what God has on their hearts so we can glean from one another and grow in the things of God. And I want our Bible Study to be a lighthouse to the areas surrounding us. I believe each and every one of us is called of God to do great things. The only thing stopping us is ourselves; so I pray that God would take us out of our comfort zones so we can move forward and make an impact in the lives around us!!!

PHF: Before starting each Bible Study what do you do?

Celina: PUT HIM FIRST!!!!
